The Summer Experience Grant (SEG) is available to eligible students who receive Yale financial aid. Make sure to confirm your SEG availability to better understand your funding options!
What is eligible for the SEG?
Eligible students can request the SEG for one of the following two options:
Yale Study Abroad Program
The SEG can provide funding in proportion to a student’s financial aid percentage toward the program budget of a single Yale Summer Session (YSS) Abroad program or a single Yale in London program.
Funding includes billed expenses, such as tuition; and unbilled living expenses. Program budgets are created by the SEG Team and will be made available on the SEG website.
Professional Development
The SEG provides $4000 for an unpaid or underfunded domestic, in-person experience with a nonprofit, government entity, arts apprenticeship, or research.
