Students request the SEG for Yale Study Abroad in their Yale Summer Session Program Abroad/Yale in London program application. In order to apply for the SEG, students must complete the following steps:
STEP 1: Confirm SEG Eligibility
Ensure you and your program are eligible to receive an SEG. Refer to SEG Student Eligibility and Program Eligibility.
STEP 2: Apply for Study Abroad Program Admission
To use the SEG, you must apply and be approved by Yale to attend one of the SEG-eligible Study Abroad programs.
STEP 3: Apply for an SEG
You will have access to the SEG Request form as one of the required forms in your Yale Compass account. Submit the SEG Request form to request the SEG.
Prepare to Request the SEG
The SEG is disbursed into students’ Yale Pay accounts. The SEG Travel Stipend must be withdrawn by requesting a refund from Yale as a direct deposit. Make sure that you have a bank account added to your Yale Pay account for the purposes of requesting a refund.
International students: Confirm that your Sprintax Calculus tax forms are on file and up to date, or payments will be delayed.
