SEG recipients are required to submit a report on their time abroad. This report is a valuable opportunity to reflect and share your experience with the generous donors who make the SEG possible.
Why write a report?
The SEG Study Abroad report is a valuable opportunity for students to reflect on their experiences abroad. The SEG report is also shared with the generous donors who made the award possible to recognize their contribution, as well as to demonstrate the profound value of these experiences.
Where do I submit my report?
You’ll submit the report on your Yale Compass account. It is called “(SEG) End of Program Report”.
What’s on the report?
The report consists of several short-answer questions. Students will be asked to upload a photo of themselves during the experience, as well as a photo that does a good job representing the experience. Generic answers generated by AI are not accepted, as they defy the purpose of the report.
When is my report due?
The report is due September 15.
What happens if I do not submit my report on time?
Any or all of the following consequences may occur:
- Failure to submit the SEG report by the deadline may result in being asked to return the SEG funds.
- Failure to submit the SEG report by the deadline may affect your competitiveness for other study, internship, volunteer, research, or fellowship opportunities administered through the Office of Fellowships and OCS.
- Your case may be sent to ExComm.
